Brain Health, Caregiver, Alzheimer's Disease

The mission of The National Brain Health Center for African Americans is to raise awareness of the issues of cognitive health among African Americans by working through networks of faith-based institutions and by establishing partnerships with organizations and individuals dedicated to their mission. 

They have three focus areas for patients and their caregivers.

• Brain Health Education: understanding how the brain functions and what’s required to stay healthy to help against Alzheimer’s, stroke, epilepsy, and traumatic brain injury
• Mobilization and Advocacy: faith institutions help to mobilize communities and aid individuals in participating in services related to caregiving and brain health equity
• Networking: of organizations and individuals to raise awareness and help to eliminate health disparities among African Americans
