Who We Are
The Virginia Alliance for Retired Americans is an advocate for older and retired Americans on critical legislative and policy issues, such as Social Security, Medicare and prescription drugs, affordable housing, long-term care, managed care reform, Medicaid, poverty and services in your community.
The Alliance works to win universal health care for all Americans, protect and expand Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid; make prescription drugs affordable; open up job opportunities for people older than 50; clean up political campaign financing; gain rights for patients in HMO's and fight for workers' rights.
Older and retired Americans are invited to join the Alliance for $10 a year.
