Who We Are

The Ready2Work program is a street-cleaning and beautification service provided by homeless and unemployed men and women for the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District. The nine- to 18-month program provides a clean, safe place to stay. Participants are paid, receive social service support, adult education and job training.

The Ready2Succeed workforce development programs provide valuable training, job experience and references, as well as the opportunity to earn and save wages for permanent housing . Participants no longer struggle with life-altering addictions or behavior and are motivated to achieve independent employment.
Ready 2 Recycle employs homeless men in running a recycling service. Ready 2 Recycle employees pick up and sort donations for our Food PLUS Center and for sale to benefit the Mission’s programs. Participants live at the Mission, are paid and receive training and preparation for independent living. Click here for more information and to schedule a recycling pick-up.

Ready2Cook offers two options for culinary- minded students. Mission Muffins is a bakery run by homeless employees, who bake, market, sell and deliver delicious baked goods. Employees are paid and live at the Mission; they receive training for bakery work and business management.   Culinary Job Training Program is in partnership with DC Central Kitchen.
