Travel Training, People with Disabilities and Older Adults

Mobility Options is a grant-funded program providing transportation counseling, complimentary travel training, and personalized transportation for Planning District 16. Services may be provided to persons of any age with a physical, developmental, or intellectual disability, or persons that are sixty (60) years of age or older. Demand-response transportation may be available for the target populations of people with disabilities, older adults 60 years of age and older, and people who are transportation disadvantaged. Trip purpose can be for any number of destinations and is not solely relegated to medical appointments. Requests from the target populations are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Local service is provided on a daily basis.  Out-of-town services (Richmond, Charlottesville, and Northern Virginia) are provided once a month to each of these three jurisdictions.
