Who We Are
Volunteers make a difference in the lives of patients, visitors and staff at LewisGale Medical Center. Volunteers help the hospital at the information desk, at patient registration, delivering mail and newspapers, provide community information to families in waiting areas, distribute and collect meal trays, assist in patient discharge. Other volunteers work on assignment, serving as regular help to a specific area or unit of the hospital. Usually a volunteer works up to 3 hours a week.
Apply to become an adult volunteer by downloading and filling out a volunteer application or contact the Volunteer Office to fill out an application and schedule a formal interview with the volunteer services manager. New volunteers participate in an orientation session and on-the-job training with one of the veteran volunteers. Call 540-776-4493 for more information.
