Who We Are
STEP UP (Skill Training Employment Placement- Upward Progress) helps offenders into society by providing them the knowledge, skills and training they will need in order to make a successful transition from a correctional facility to the rest of their lives.
The process begins before an inmate is released. Help is available with life-skills training such as anger management, conflict resolution and dealing with society norms that might have changed.
Ex-offenders include men, women receiving aid to dependent children, senior citizens, displaced homemakers and single parents. Referrals are made for skill training, GED, and other special services such as housing, food stamps, etc.
