Telephone Reassurance, Tele-N-Touch Program

The Tele-N-Touch Program makes regular pre-arranged telephone calls to homebound elderly or other disabled persons. The individuals may be at great risk and need to be checked on routinely, or they simply like to have a friendly telephone visit. The program is designed to relieve loneliness of individuals whose circumstances may deprive them of social participation by providing some contact with the world outside their home. Calls may be arranged on a daily or weekly basis.

This is a joint project between AASC, Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board and Dickenson County Community Services Board. It is a special service provided by AASC staff and Community Services Board Club House members.
This service is part of the Care Coordination program.
