Who We Are

The Bedford County Nursing Home is a 90-bed intermediate long-term care facility that is owned and operated by Bedford County. The facility is accessible for people with disabilities and provides two and four-bed resident rooms.

Bedford County Nursing Home provides professional nursing care with a staff of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. Residents may select their own physician. The facility offers therapy including covering physical, occupational, and speech therapies.

Therapeutic diets are available to all residents as prescribed by their physicians. A Registered Dietitian consultant is available and the daily menus are implemented by the Certified Food Service Manager. The personal laundry of all residents is done in-house unless a family member desires to launder the resident's clothing. The home provides a full calendar of recreational activities and occasional trips planned by the home's certified Activities Director.
