Who We Are

Volunteer opportunities are available seven days a week. Volunteers assist with food preparation, kitchen upkeep, and outreach to residents of local homeless shelters. See more information about being a Volunteer.  From June to October, there are special Thursday gleaning shifts, where volunteers help us harvest crops at local farms.

The Kitchen also welcomes service partnerships with local businesses, government agencies, community groups and fraternal organizations.

Advance reservation is required for anyone who wants to volunteer. Interested individuals and groups may schedule a date and time by visiting our online calendar. If you are in need of additional assistance with corporate and civic days of service, service partnerships, and project-oriented volunteering please call.

Bus Line: Metrobus D4 and D2. Subway Stop: Judiciary Square. Wheelchair accessible. Provides off-street parking.
