Who We Are

Commuter Connections is a regional network of transportation organizations coordinated by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments. For people who live or work in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area, Commuter Connections provides information on all commute options, so commuters can make a smart choice about how they travel to work. Commuter Connections also helps employers establish commuting benefits and assistance programs, including telework and telecommute programs, for their employees.

Among the many services are ride-matching for carpools and vanpools and the Guaranteed Ride Home program.  Commuter Connections can provide you with the best commute options to get to work and in an emergency get you home too.  Guaranteed Ride Home (otherwise known as GRH) provides commuters who regularly (twice a week) carpool, vanpool, bike, walk or take transit to work with a free and reliable ride home when one of life's unexpected emergencies arises.

The CarpoolNow app is available on Google Play and the App Store.
