Who We Are
The Heatherwood Retirement Community offers both independent living and assisted living throughout the community, which means when residents require additional services, they do not need to move from their apartment. The capacity for assisted living and memory care is 150.
When a resident at Heatherwood needs assistance with activities of daily living, an assisted living service package is available. This package can be customized to meet the resident’s care needs and the cost can be adjusted. An assessment by a Registered Nurse at Heatherwood determines the care needs of residents. The Basic Assisted Living Service Package includes:
- Three Meals per day;
- Medication Management;
- Diabetic Management;
- Bathing Assistance
- Dressing Assistance;
- Assistance to and from meals and activities;
- Daily bed making;
- Linen and towel changes weekly or as needed;
- Personal laundry weekly or as needed;
- Daily trash removal;
- Nursing staff on duty 24 hours per day;
- Wellness Programs;
- Weekly Housekeeping;
- Two hour checks in addition to the emergency call system.
The basic rent at Heatherwood includes one meal daily, expanded cable television, unlimited local and long-distance telephone service, high-speed internet service, all utilities, weekly housekeeping, regularly scheduled transportation, routine maintenance, daily social activities, and monthly wellness checks. Each apartment has a nurse call system.
