The Alzheimer's Association is a national voluntary health organization dedicated to research for the causes, cures, treatments, preventions of Alzheimer's disease. The Alzheimer's Association provides education and support services to Alzheimer's patients, their families, and caregivers. The Southeastern Virginia Chapter consists of one chapter office and a branch office in Williamsburg.
Assistance is provided through a Help-Line, support groups and care consultation. Lending library, publications, e-Newletter, Safe Return (a national wide identification program), respite care scholarships, online message boards and chat rooms, education programs and local resources and referrals are all services and resources available through the Association.
