Who We Are

The Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department offers a program to provide fire safety for residents of Stafford County.  Through a grant funded by the Virginia Department of Fire Programs, smoke alarms can be purchased for citizens in need.  Personnel of the Fire and Rescue Department will also install smoke alarms.

Visual Smoke Alarm Program for  Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals is available.  This program offers a special device to alert deaf and hard of hearing occupants when smoke or fire is detected. The alarm will produce an increased audible alert and emit a strobe light when activated.

There is no cost for this program. It is funded by a special grant.
