Who We Are

 Franklin Redevelopment And Housing Authority is a Public Housing Agency that participates in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), and Public Housing programs.  The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program provides rental assistance to low income households renting decent and safe housing from private landlords throughout Franklin. The program is funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.   There are units for individuals with disabilities at each community.

Pretlow Gardens, located on Pretlow Street. Has 10 one-bedroom units, 10 two-bedroom units and 20 three-bedroom units. Two units were converted for handicapped accessible persons. 

Oldtown Terrace, located on Bruce Street, has 10 one-bedroom units, 10 two-bedroom units and 15 three-bedroom units. Three units were converted to handicapped accessible persons.

 

Suburban Gardens, located on Bank Street, has 4 one-bedroom units, 12 two-bedroom units, 36 three-bedroom units, 14 four-bedroom units and 9 five-bedroom units. Two units were converted for handicapped accessible persons.

 

Berkley Court, located on Cameron Street, has 14 one-bedroom units, 20 two-bedroom units, 28 three-bedroom units, one four-bedroom unit and 3 five-bedroom units. Four units were converted for handicapped accessible persons.

The contribution towards rent is based on your family's monthly adjusted income or minimum contribution, the payment standard for the bedroom size allocated to you, and the gross rent (rent plus utility allowance) for the unit you select. Call for guidelines.
