Who We Are

Lynchburg Daily Bread provides a hot meal in a Christian environment to the needy of the Lynchburg area.

Soup Kitchen provides a hot lunch from 10:50 to 12:20 every day of the year, including holidays, to individuals who are hungry. Volunteers prepare, cook and serve the meals. Second helpings are allowed.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays volunteers pack up excess meals and give them out at willow Branch apartments in Madison Heights, Virginia, at 1 PM.  This service was recently expanded to James Crossing apartments in Lynchburg, where excess meals are given out at Noon each Wednesday.

Lynchburg Daily Bread also offers a small morning shelter for the homeless, starting at 7 AM with coffee, milk and cereal.
