Who We Are
Centralized and comprehensive information on approximately 4000 human services for Planning Districts 11 and 12. Provides free information on a confidential basis on health, welfare, social services, educational, recreational, and individual resources.
Specialized services include the following publications: Human Services Directory, Directory of Associations, Guide for Tough Times, Youth Resources P D 11, Specialized Listings, Quick Guides to Welfare Reform, Domestic Violence, Disability Services. Operating under the auspices of the United Way of Central Virginia.
The service areas covered are counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Campbell, Franklin, Henry, Patrick, and Pittsylvania and cities of Danville, Lynchburg, and Martinsville.
