Who We Are

Administration office of Chesapeake Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism can give you  fee rates to rent picnic shelters, athletic fields, etc. Seniors may register for classes, trips, and other activities here, as well as at any Senior Center or Community Center.  The Parks and Recreation Department publishes the LEISURE GUIDE which lists the recreational and leisure activities offered by the department.  Get a copy at the community centers, public libraries or call 757-382-6411.

For Boat ramps and canoe put-ins, go to Deep Creek Lock Park, Great Bridge Lock Park, Elizabeth River Boat Landing, Dismal Swamp Canal, or the Northwest River Park.
