Preoperative Joint Camp-Preparing for Joint Replacement

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital offers Preoperative Joint Camp-Preparing for Joint Replacement class. The class is designed for patients who are preparing to have a Total Hip or Total Knee replacement. The class will review the process of getting ready for surgery; identify components of prosthesis; discuss hospital stay; meet with PT and OT therapy; prevention of potential complications; discuss post-operative pain management and identify discharge planning options. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early. Your instruction will meet the class attendees at the Main Hospital in the main lobby by the Grand Piano (just past the gift shop), but class will be held in the Seale conference room.
